Qualche riflessione conclusiva sulla bella esperienza di Budapest.
Probabilmente tra qualche anno sarà pronto anche il video che Diego e io abbiamo girato prima, durante e dopo (accompagnati in giro per la città da un tassista naziskin) il Citizen Media Summit, organizzato da Global Voices.
Sono tornato a casa contento di aver conosciuto tanta bella gente, tanti blogger che hanno trovato il modo per rendere il blog uno strumento utile, facendolo diventare un mezzo di informazione dove la libertà di informazione è negata.
Poi, tornando in Italia, ho scoperto che un un giornalista siciliano, Carlo Ruta - che non usava il blog (oggi oscurato) come mezzo di informazione, ma lo aveva fatto diventare comunque uno strumento utile - è stato condannato per il reato di "stampa clandestina".
Ho sempre pensato che i blog utilizzati come un giornale dovessero essere regolamentati esattamente come i giornali.
Ma in questo caso, non si trattava di un giornale, non c’era la cronaca periodica di qualche avvenimento. C’erano invece molti documenti interessanti sulla mafia e soprattutto sull’assassinio di Giovanni Spampinato - cronista de L’Ora e de L’Unità - ucciso nel 1972.
E’ possibile sostenere la causa di Carlo Ruta con una petizione promossa da Giornalismi.info.
Poi ho scoperto pure che il Governo italiano non vuole più discutere in Parlamento la legge, con la quale vorrebbe mandare in galera i giornalisti che pubblicano le intercettazioni.
Altro che disegno di legge, meglio un decreto.
Il decreto legge ha effetto immediato e - visto che sui giornali potrebbe finire anche qualche altra intercettazione dei colloqui telefonici tra Berlusconi e i dirigenti Rai - è meglio far presto.
Allora ho ripensato ad Alaa, giovane blogger egiziano, arrestato per aver manifestato in favore dei magistrati.
Ho pensato alle parole di Luis Carlos che ha spiegato come Chavez stia cercando di cambiare la costituzione del Venzuela aggirando le regole, poggiandosi sulla forza elettorale acquisita grazie alla massiccia presenza su tutte le reti televisive.
Oppure ai giovani blogger cinesi, iraniani, siriani, che ogni giorno cercano di aggirare la censura che - dopo aver imbavagliato la stampa - blocca (o tenta di bloccare) anche la rete.
Ma in Italia c’è la democrazia, è tutta un’altra storia, vero?

Non aggiungo altro, se non questi due video, nei quali siamo intervistati da Eleonora, traduttrice della versione italiana di Global Voices che forse, nei prossimi anni, potrebbe diventare anche da noi un’importante strumento di comunicazione e di controinformazione.
Da tener presente che l’intervista l’abbiamo "concessa" alla fine del meeting ed eravamo molto stanchi e senza fondotinta!

Some conclusive considerations about the beautiful experience in Budapest.
Maybe within the next few years the movie that Diego and I filmed - before, during and after (getting around the city by a naziskin taxi-driver) the Citizen Media Summit, organized from Global Voices - will be ready.
I came back home glad to met much interesting people, many blogger which have found the way to make blog an useful instrument, making it to become means of information, in that countries where information freedom is denied.
Then, coming back in Italy, I discovered that a sicilian journalist, Carlo Ruta - who didn’t use blog (today darkened) like means of information, but he made it a useful instrument - was condemned for “clandestine press “ crime.
I always thought that blog used as a newspaper had to be restricted exactly like newspapers.
But Ruta’s blog wasn’t a newspaper. It was, instead, a collection of many interesting documents about Mafia and about the murder of Giovanni Spampinato - reporter for L’Ora and L’Unità - killed in 1972.
It’s possible to support the cause of Carlo Ruta with a petition, by Giornalismi.info.
Then I have discovered also that Italian Government doesn’t want to discuss in Parliament the law with which they want to arrest journalists who publish phone interceptions.
Not by a bill, best a decree.
Law decree has immediate effect and - since on other call interceptions between Berlusconi and Rai management could be published by newspaper  - it is better to make soon.
Then I thought to Alaa - young Egyptian blogger - arrested in order to have manifested in favour of magistrates.
I thought to the words of Luis Carlos - from Venezuela - who explained as Chavez "wanted to change the constitution outside the rules but with elections", thanks to a massive presence on all net televisions.
Or Chinese, Iranian, Syrian young bloggers who every day try to elude censorship that before stopped press and now blocks (it tries to block) also internet.
But in Italy there is the democracy, is all an other history, true?

I don’t add to other, but only these two movies, in which we are interviewed from Eleonora, translator of the Italian version of Global Voices that perhaps, in the next few years, could become also in Italy an important information and communication instrument.
Attention please: we "granted” interview at the end of the meeting, when we were a lot tired and without make-up!
